The disciplines

Four disciplines. One standard of finish.

Four disciplines, one standard. Whether we are lighting a single room or rewiring an entire house, the approach is the same: understand how the home is lived in, plan the work properly, and finish to a level the interior deserves.

Most projects combine two or three of these — a rewire with a full lighting design, or a smart control system layered into a renovation. We quote for the whole picture, not piece by piece.

Lighting design

Lighting is the difference between a room that photographs well and a room that feels right at nine in the evening. We design in layers — architectural light for the space, task light for how it is used, and accent light for what you want to notice.

Every scheme is drawn before anything is installed: positions agreed to the centimetre, switching scenes planned around real routines, dimming curves tuned lamp by lamp. We specify fittings that suit the interior, and we are honest about budget before you fall in love with a luminaire.

Smart home & controls

The best smart home is the one you stop noticing. We design control systems around the household — heating, lighting, sound, blinds and security responding to how the day actually unfolds, with physical switches where hands expect them.

We are brand-agnostic and quietly opinionated: we will tell you which platforms are worth their subscription, which will still be supported in ten years, and where a simple switch does the job better than an app. Everything is commissioned, labelled and explained before handover.

Rewires & renovation

A rewire is disruptive by nature — our job is to make it feel orderly. We plan the routes, the positions and the sequence before we start, coordinate with the other trades, and work to the programme we promised.

For period homes we take particular care: minimal chasing where plaster and cornicing matter, consumer units sized for what the house will become rather than what it was, and every cable run documented. You receive a full certification pack and a house that is ready for the decorator.

Maintenance & aftercare

Homes evolve — rooms change purpose, fittings age, and the perfectly commissioned system of three years ago needs a review. We look after the homes we work in with annual checks, sensible upgrades and fast answers when something stops behaving.

For faults, we diagnose properly rather than swap parts and hope. For upgrades, we recommend only what the house genuinely needs. It is unglamorous work, and it is the reason most of our projects arrive by word of mouth.

Consultation & survey

We visit, walk the rooms with you, and listen — how mornings run, where evenings happen, what bothers you about the current lighting. From this comes a written scope and a clear, itemised quotation.

Design & coordination

Lighting layouts, circuit plans and control schedules, shared with your architect or designer so everything is coordinated before a single wall is opened.

The install

Senior electricians, dust sheets down, work sequenced around the other trades. You get a weekly update and a site that is tidy every single evening.

Handover & aftercare

We commission every scene, label every circuit, and walk you through how it all works. Then we stay reachable — the homes we work in stay on our books.
